Featuring the Bill Evans Method of Teaching Laban-Based Modern Dance Technique.

For established and emerging dance educators, including graduate and undergraduate students in dance education.

Department of Dance, The College at Brockport, State University of New York Faculty: Kitty Daniels, Bill Evans, Don Halquist, Debra Knapp, Suzie Lundgren.

Housing is available in College at Brockport residence hall. We will arrange low-priced travel from Rochester International Airport to campus.

Courses: Somatics Lab for Dance Technique, Evans Laban-Based Method of Teaching Contemporary Dance Technique, Dance-Science-Based Ballet Technique, Laban-Based Improvisation and Composition, Ballet Pedagogy, Modern Dance Pedagogy, Feldenkrais and Hands-On Teaching Lab.

The officers of NYSDEA invite you to join us as we enter a new and exciting era for dance in New York State. NYSDEA serves dance educators who teach diverse populations in schools of dance, PreK-12 schools, post-secondary institutions and education outreach programs.
