Hunter College Offers New Graduate Programs in Dance

2012

Hunter College offers three graduate dance programs: 5 Year BA/MA, MA in Dance Education and MFA. The Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Programs, including an accelerated 5 Year BA/MA in Dance Education and MA in Dance Education are designed to establish a national model for the training of teachers in primary and secondary school dance pedagogy, leading to NYS Certification in Dance. Each of these programs combines practical academic training in Hunter College’s School of Education with teaching experience and a strongly articulated curriculum in aesthetics, history, creative work and performance.
