Applications are open for admission to CUNY Hunter College, Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program

Join a diverse, talented student body of aspiring leaders in the dance field. Benefit from a curriculum that integrates research, choreography, performance, technology and pedagogy. The Masters in Dance Education Program prepares dance artists and educators for the rigors of teaching the history, culture, and practice of dance in PreK-12 classrooms. It also provides students with the coursework required for professional certification for teaching dance in New York State.
Track One: Applicants must have a liberal-arts bachelor’s degree that satisfies the general education requirements of Hunter’s School of Education, plus a minimum of 34 credits in dance.
Track Two: Applicants must have initial PreK-12 certification in Dance from New York State
Track Three: Applicants must have initial or permanent/professional certification in any content area, and a minimum of 34 credits in dance
