On May 19th, 2018 Dance Parade celebrates its 12th year with the theme "Cabaret Of Life," and  invites your school to participate or witness it first hand!  www.Danceparade.org

Watching the diversity of Manhattan communicated through dance is not only riveting, but unifying. It makes you smile, inspires fun and is a healthy activity for family and friends. The parade and festival serve to evoke joy and community as we connect to each other by a shared passion for dance.

It is a multi-cultural, rhythm-infused, magical display of movement, art and color! There will be 10,000 dancers and 81 different styles dancing down Broadway at 1:00 PM, beginning at West 32nd Street. One of those groups could be yours! Your school can be represented by registering a group here:

The costumed celebration ends in a party and show in Tompkins Square Park with a performance stage and teaching tents. Your students can learn some moves or have a group perform and show some of their own because the gift of movement, whether trained or not, is something that we all possess.

This year's theme, "THE CABARET OF LIFE," is a celebration of the repeal of New York City's Cabaret Law that suppressed dance and culture for 91 years since prohibition times. The theme helps us to recognize the importance of the arts in everyday life, both as participant and the audience.

Please join the parade and invite your school, families and friends. This parade is definitely for you!
