Boundless: Dance at All Stages
As we move through life and grow with our artistic and teaching practices, it is vital to support and expand the definition of what dance education looks like at all stages of life and in all sectors. By prioritizing foundational wellness, addressing the developmental needs of each age group, and ensuring accessibility and inclusivity, dance education can be a lifelong journey for everyone. A successful dance career can take many different forms, and it is up to the dance educators in public schools, higher education, private studios, community centers, or other settings, to play a key role in helping students find programs and opportunities that can keep them engaged with the field of dance throughout their lives. How do dance educators continue to expand and adapt their practices to meet the varied needs of students throughout their lives, as well as meet their own needs?
