 |  | Memories of Destiné: A Centennial Celebration  Thursday, March 29th, 2018 6:00 - 8:00PM  at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Bruno Walter Auditorium 111 Amsterdam Avenue, New York  Free Admission  Celebrate the centennial of the Haitian-born American dancer and choreographer Jean-Léon Destiné, the founder of Haiti's national dance company and the Destiné Afro-Haitian Dance Company in New York. As an awe-inspiring virtuoso performer, over a many-decades-long career, Destiné championed and shared the traditional music and dance of Haiti. Please join us for an evening of performance, archival footage, conversation, and celebratory music to honor the life and legacy of Jean-Léon Destiné.  Presented by the Destiné Centennial Committee in partnership with the Center for Traditional Music and Dance and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
