MMDG’s Marketing Internship is a comprehensive opportunity for those invested in exploring a career in marketing for the arts. Marketing interns can explore graphic design, photography/videography, media relations, social media engagement and more. Please note this opportunity is fully in-person and COVID vaccination is required.
Internship Term Dates: June 21st, 2022 - August 19th, 2022
General responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Participate in Marketing team meetings and planning sessions
Assist Marketing and Digital Engagement Associate with updates and maintenance of the Mark Morris Dance Group website
Assist with developing social media, including drafting posts, formatting images, etc.
Build and maintain PR lists; pull quotes from press articles; draft press releases
Assist with cross-promotion of all Dance Group and Dance Center programs and events
Conduct marketing research
Perform Salesforce data entry and imports from external data sources such as Active, Mindbody, and Facebook
Archive marketing content
Support Marketing & Communications Manager with email marketing program - creating and uploading graphic assets, drafting e-blasts
Provide administrative assistance as needed to marketing staff
Qualifications:
Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft applications, Google apps, and basic website content management systems
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and/or CRM systems, such as Salesforce or Hubspot, strongly desired
Good writing skills also a plus
